9.3.5 Manage Windows Servers by Using Azure Arc with CompTia

  1. Add the server with the Azure Arc wizard.
    1. Maximize the Azure Services window.
    2. Under Azure Services, select Azure Arc.
    3. From the left pane, under Infrastructure, select Servers.
    4. From the menu bar, select Add.
    5. For Add a single server, select Generate script.
  2. Configure the resource group details and tags.
    1. Review the prerequisites and then select Next.
    2. Configure the resource details as follows:
      • Subscription: CorpNet Production
        • Resource group: CorpUK
          This is the resource group that will hold your metadata.
      • Region: (Europe) UK South
      • Operating system: Windows
      • Connectivity method: Public endpoint
    3. Select Next.
    4. Select Next skip the process of adding tags.
    5. 3.Select Next skip the process of adding tags.
    6. Download the script to onboard your Windows server.
      1. Review the script that has been generated.
      2. Select Download to download the default Azure Arc script.
      3. Select Close.
      4. From the Add servers with Azure Arc window, select the X in the upper right to close the view.
    7. Verify that the script was download.
      1. Minimize or close Google Chrome.
      2. From the Windows taskbar, select File Explorer.
      3. From the left pane of File Explorer, select Downloads.
      4. Verify that the OnboardingScript is shown.
