Evaluate Network Security with Kibana

 You are the security analyst for a small corporate network. Recently, your network became extremely slow. You have decided to use Security Onion to see if you can determine the cause.

In this lab, your task is to:

• Log in to Security Onion and access Kibana.
  • Email address: bob@corpnet.xyz
  • Password: password
• From Kibana, examine the Discover and Dashboard pages for possible issues.
• Answer the questions.

The IP address of the Security Onion server is: 192.168.0.101

Complete this lab as follows:

1. Access Security Onion.
   1. From the Favorites bar, select Google Chrome.
   2. In the address field, enter 192.168.0.101 and press Enter to access Security Onion.
   3. Log in to Security Onion using the following:
      • Email address: bob@corpnet.xyz
      • Password: password
   4. Select LOGIN.
2. Access Kibana and examine the Discover and Dashboard pages for possible issues.
   1. Select the hamburger menu and then click Kibana.
      (Kibana opens by default to the Discover page.)
   2. Maximize the window for better viewing.
   3. From the Discover page, examine the charts and graphs.
   4. Select the hamburger menu and then click Dashboard.
   5. Examine the charts and graphs on the Dashboard page.
3. Answer the question.
   1. In the top right, select Answer Questions.
   2. Answer the question.
   3. Select Score Lab
