Configure DNS addresses with Testout

 EXPLANATION

While completing this lab, use the following DNS information:

  • Preferred DNS server: 208.67.222.222
  • First alternate DNS server: 208.67.222.220
  • Second alternate DNS server: 208.67.220.123

Complete this lab as follows:

  1. Access the Ethernet properties dialog.
    1. Under Dorm Room, select Dorm-PC.
    2. Right-click the Network icon in the taskbar's notification area and select Open Network & Internet settings.
    3. From the right pane, select Change adapter options.
    4. Right-click Ethernet and select Properties.
  2. Configure the new DNS addresses.
    1. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
    2. Select Properties.
    3. Select Use the following DNS server addresses to manually configure the DNS server addresses.
    4. Select Advanced to configure more than two DNS server addresses.
    5. Select the DNS tab.
    6. Under DNS server addresses, select Add to configure DNS server addresses.
    7. Enter the DNS server address and then select Add.
    8. Repeat steps 2f–2
      1. Select OK.
    9. Validate the new DNS settings.
      1. From the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP4) Properties window, select Validate settings upon exit.
      2. Select OK.
      3. Select Close to close Ethernet Properties.
