Lab 10.7.6: Create a Guest Network for BYOD [WLOs: 1, 2, 3, 4] [CLOs: 1, 2, 3, 4]

 

  1. Access and log into the Ruckus ZoneDirector.
    1. From the taskbar, select Google Chrome.
    2. In the URL field, enter 192.168.0.6 and then press Enter.
    3. Maximize the window for better viewing.
    4. In the Admin field, enter admin (case sensitive).
    5. In the Password field, enter password as the password.
    6. Select Login.
  2. Set up Guest Access Services.
    1. Select the Configure tab.
    2. From the left menu, select Guest Access.
    3. Under Guest Access Service, select Create New.
    4. Change the Name field to Guest_BYOD.
    5. For Terms of Use, select Show terms of use.
    6. Expand Restricted Subnet Access.
    7. Verify that 192.168.0.0/16 is listed.
    8. Select OK.
  3. Create a Guest WLAN.
    1. From the left menu, select WLANs.
    2. Under WLANs, select Create New.
    3. Change the Name to Guest.
    4. Change the ESSID to Guest_BYOD.
    5. Under Type, select Guest Access.
    6. For Wireless Client Isolation, select Isolate wireless client traffic from other clients on the same AP.
    7. Select OK.
    8. Close Google Chrome.
  4. Request a Guest password.
    1. Open a new Google Chrome browser window.
    2. In the URL field, enter 192.168.0.6/guestpass and then press Enter.
    3. Maximize the window for better viewing.
    4. In the Username field, enter BYODAdmin (case sensitive)
      1. Enter P@ssw0rd as the password (0 is a zero).
      2. Select Log In.
      3. In the Full Name field, enter any full name.
      4. In the Key field, highlight the key and press Ctrl + C to copy the key.
      5. If you are using the Firefox browser, copying and pasting the key will not work. Make a note of the key value and type it into the Key field.
      6. Select Next.
    5. Access the wireless Guest Access Service from the guest laptop in the lobby.
      1. From the top left, select Floor 1.
      2. Under Lobby, select Gst-Lap in the lobby.
      3. In the notification area, select the wireless Network icon.
      4. Select Guest_BYOD.
      5. Select Connect.
      6. Select Yes.
      7. After Chrome opens to the Guest Access login page, paste the key from the Key field.
      8. Select Log In.
